Based on Hyundai’s new global EV architecture, it’s the 2nd battery electric vehicle Hyundai has offered in India, after the Hyundai Kona EV. Globally, the Ioniq 5 is a competitor to the Tesla Model Y, Ford Mustang Mach E and its platform partner, the Kia EV6, which is also slated for its launch in India, later this year.
